Transformable Toys
Light-Activated Fairy
Bistable Giraffe Legs
This research endeavor was conducted in partnership with the MIT Self-Assembly Lab on behalf of an external toy company. The project involved experimentation with the lab's innovative materials, including liquid printing and active textiles, to create prototypes of deployable toys featuring unexpected changes in shape and size. Due to COVID-19, the team remotely exchanged laser-cut and 3D-printed models to meet the toy's stringent requirements regarding size, safety, and materials while adhering to international standards.
