Michael Tan is a Providence-based designer with a creative ethos grounded in collaborative values. Holding a B.S. in Architecture from MIT with added engineering training, Michael’s technical expertise complements a robust design foundation, with proficiency in CAD, Python, and 3D animation tools.

Having studied and worked in Zürich, Tokyo, and Boston, Michael’s journey encompasses design from various perspectives and disciplines, from refining residential spaces to pioneering innovative toy-design research at MIT's Self-Assembly Lab.

Having served as an MIT-Japan STEAM workshop leader and MISTI Switzerland IdentityX Ambassador, Michael intertwines global leadership with cultural empathy, reflecting a commitment to humanistic and transformative design.
